Commencement!

Graduations are always so bittersweet. Yesterday was my graduation and while I was so ready to not have to go to school 2-3 times a week, I’m a bit sad. The friendships I have made in the past two years will be unforgetable. The professors that have enriched my life with their knowledge will forever be in my heart. The ceremony was beautiful and I was blessed to have the three people that mean the most to me there to take it all in with me.
Now with a Masters degree in Social Work my opportunities have broadened. So many doors will open, so many different possible service opportunities will be available. I hope I can make a difference in the lives of many different individuals. I pledge to always adapt the strengths perspective. I pledge to treat everyone I encounter with respect and professionalism but most importantly I pledge to give 100 percent of my heart to this profession.
It feels so cool to have an MSW! Now… Watch out… I’m going to be “therapising” up a storm!

New beginnings…

Wow… my first blog post. So surreal. Having a blog has been a dream for so long. Being a fan of writing, having such a creative outlet such as this one makes me proud to live in a country where I have the freedom to ramble about whatever it is that I want…

Now let me tell you a little bit about myself… I got married in 2007 to the man of my dreams. For the sake of his privacy (and mostly because he thinks I’m nuts for “airing our dirty and CLEAN laundry”) we will call him Superman. Superman is not only the kindest man you will ever meet, but basically he is the ying to my yang… or the yang to my ying… whichever one is the good one… well that’s him. He is sweet, caring, pampering and better yet… he puts up with my antics… which as you will see, is not an easy task! :)

Tomorrow is my graduation. I got my Master’s Degree! Basically what this means is that I get to do the same job I have been doing for the past few years for almost the same pay… BUT now I have all this knowledge, experience and a BIG load of student loans… mostly student loans… Beware this blog may turn out to be an outlet for my frustrations with those student loans… my relationship with the retail giants (and littles) will SUFFER greatly due to those suckers (boo! student loans!) and I have a feeling my true colors will show.

Thank you for reading. If you are out there… comment. I am known for lurking and not commenting… but I want to know who you are… after all your nose will be all up in my laundry… don’t worry… I’ll use fabric softener…

Until next time :)

J. – Your friendly neighborhood SuperWife.
