Vegas is NOT for the faint of heart…

As y’all know the hubby and I went to Vegas last week. This was an anniversary trip like no other. I had all these “wild” things planned. Wednesday (our actual anniversary!) I had tickets to Cirque du Soleil Zumanity. I gotta say it was the best show on earth (Ringling WHO?!). The rest of the week we had other sexy shows planned like Holly Madison’s Peep Show (the girl is beautiful!), Chris Angel’s Believe (He is soooo talented!) and a little show called Fantasy (all I can say is… wow… what a choreography!). Sounds like a good time right? Oh it totally was… BUT this post is not about the palpitations we got out of the shows… which we did… but we knew exactly how to take care of those… This post is about the amount of FOOD that we consumed in Vegas!

Let me tell you something about the mean, horrible people from Vegas (KIDDING!!!)… They wanted to kill me… or at least put me in a food-induced COMA. Seriously! How is it possible that they can produce THAT MUCH food in ONE city? And you know what’s worse than having all of that temptation in front of you? Having a HUSBAND to egg you on and support your horrible judgment! I think he wants to “round me up” so that other boys don’t look at me or something! Let me tell you he *almost* succeeded! I think had we stayed an extra few days I would have needed a forklift to get me home… In fact I think the turbulence we experienced in the airplane was related to my newly-acquired figure rather than bumpy clouds!

In case you don’t understand my drift let me explain to you how our days went… at first we arrived and wanted to explore… we had lunch and thought it was amazing. Food consumption and debauchery BEGAN! We were soooo full that we actually NEEDED to take a nap. WHO DOES THAT?! Apparently WE DO! Then of course we got up from our nap and went to see the amazing show… and of course we got HUNGRY after the show… so here we are after midnight… devouring a burger with a special sauce (and chicken nuggets and French fries and possibly even a fish sandwich). The following day our “let’s find the best buffet competition” began!

Seriously WHAT WERE WE THINKING? First we visited the Luxor’s buffet! The food was good, the dessert bar was better than all the sexy shows COMBINED!!! Where we happy? NO! Why stop there when there are another 50 hotels on the strip!? So each additional day we went to a different hotel… looking for a better buffet! Some were better than others but we were DETERMINED to continue… even on the days where our pants didn’t fit and our zippers declared war on us and decided to go on strike! Sexy huh?

So in conclusion I learned one thing… now I know why they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! They don’t want the secret to get out! No worries… I am here to debunk that secret… Vegas is NOT for the faint of heart… because they have an agenda! They want to feed you and feed you and feed you UNTIL you collapse… or at least until you cause a little “turbulence” on the airplane!

Now please excuse me… I have to go the gym now… Actually… anyone know of a good buffet in town? I bet “the best buffet in town” is NOT in Vegas after all!
